10 Golfers for the Mayakoba Golf Classic!

PGA Stats & Plays from CheatSheetPros!

QUICK NEWS AND NOTES:

This course should play fairly easy with lots of scoring. The highest scoring holes are once again the Par 5s and they have a 36%, 45% and 51% birdie rate. I’m looking at our PGA cheatsheet for golfers who have done well on this course in the past, doing well in their most recent tournaments and also fit the course. These are just some early look golfers that I have identified that I want in my player pool for GPPs.

GOLFERS TO BUILD INTO YOUR LINEUPS:

I’m not going to spend time talking about the studs like Justin Thomas, Koepka, Berger, etc. It’s obvious that if you can afford them they are fine plays. I can’t stand when someone writes up an article and they say, “Justin Thomas” is my favorite play, well no shit he has finished 4th, 2nd, 12th, 8th and 2nd in his last 5 events and put up 107 and 133 DKP in his last two. I want to focus and some guys below 10K and work my way down.

ABRAHAM ANCER (9900 DK / 11,100 FD)

TOURNEY HISTORY: 8, 21, 9, 55 over the last 4 and last 3 years are solid top finishes.

RECENT TOURNAMENTS: 13, 35, 28, 4 over his last 4 events and has been putting up an amazing amount of DKP with 80, 90, 78 and 120.

RANKS THAT STAND OUT OVER LAST 36 ROUNDS: 36TH in DK points, 18th in GIR: Gained and 22nd in P3 scoring and 33rd in P4 scoring.

NOTES: Good history at this course, playing well and should give us another solid performance.

RUSSELL HENLEY (9300 DK / 10,900 FD)

TOURNEY HISTORY: Cut last year and then 29th the prior year.

RECENT TOURNAMENTS: 30, 29, 4, 3, 27 – He has been on fire!

RANKS THAT STAND OUT OVER LAST 36 ROUNDS: 12th in DK points, 1st in T2G, 1st in APP, 1st in Bogey Avoidance, 5th in proximity, 5th in P3 scoring, 2nd in P4 scoring.

NOTES: He doesn’t have the amazing course history but he has been on fire and has broke 110 DKP in 2 of his last 4 events and that is over 12x value giving us a good ceiling.

BRIAN HARMAN (8400 DK / 7000 FD)

TOURNEY HISTORY: 4 straight finishes between 40-72nd place. Isn’t crushing the course but still sitting in the top half.

RECENT TOURNAMENTS: Coming off a cut but prior to that he finished 24, 26, 28 and 13th.

RANKS THAT STAND OUT OVER LAST 36 ROUNDS: 3rd in P5 scoring, 20th in P4 scoring, 20th in DK points, 8th in Putting, 10th in scrambling.

NOTES: Great value on Fanduel as you usually don’t see a player with a lower price on FD compared to DK. Good GPP player to mix into your lineups. GPP only as there is some risk with Harman but he has solid upside with a string of 95, 79 and 101 DKP points in that run.

EMILIANO GRILLO (8300 DK / 9900 FD)

TOURNEY HISTORY: Amazing history here. He finished 41st last year but they has 3 top 15 finishes the 3 prior years.

RECENT TOURNAMENTS: He is coming off an 18th place finish, missed cut and then 3 top 35 finishes.

RANKS THAT STAND OUT OVER LAST 36 ROUNDS: 9th in DK points, 12th in T2G, 7th in OTT, 9th in APP, 1st in proximity and 12th, 18th and 21st in P3, P4 and P5 scoring.

NOTES: Good history at this course and playing well right now.

CHARLES HOWELL (8100 DK / 9800 FD)

TOURNEY HISTORY: He has finished in the top 20 here in 4 of the last 5 years.

RECENT TOURNAMENTS: On a string of 3 straight cuts finishing 30th, 46th and 34th and two of his last 3 events he has hit 79 and 93 DKP.

RANKS THAT STAND OUT OVER LAST 36 ROUNDS: 10th in APP, 6th in putting, 13th in scrambling, 16th in P4 scoring and 25th in P5 scoring.

NOTES: Solid track record here, playing decent in recent events.

JOEL DAHMAN (8000 DK / 9900 FD)

TOURNEY HISTORY: Finished 6th here last year and then has a 41st and 23rd in the two prior years.

RECENT TOURNAMENTS: Up and down finishing 50th, then 8th, then back up to 38th and then another 58th.

RANKS THAT STAND OUT OVER LAST 36 ROUNDS: 10th in DK points, 10th in BOB%, 4th in Bogey Avoidance, 23rd in GIR, 4th in P3 scoring.

NOTES: Even in his lower finishes he is putting up a good amount of DK points and has 4 straight events above 70 DKP giving us a solid floor and a high of 105.5 to give us a decent ceiling.

PATTON KIZZIRE (8000 DK / 9800 FD)

TOURNEY HISTORY: Not amazing here but he does have a “Win” here 3 years ago and then has finished in the mid 50’s the last two years.

RECENT TOURNAMENTS: He really pops for his recent events with finishes of 10th, 11th and 24th over his last 3.

RANKS THAT STAND OUT OVER LAST 36 ROUNDS: 11th in DK points, 3rd in putting, 7th in BOB%, 6th in P5 scoring.

NOTES: He has a win on this course, running hot right now and has broke 100 DKP in 2 of his last 3 events.

SEPP STRAKA (7600 DK / 9300 FD)

TOURNEY HISTORY: Missed cut last year is the only time he has played here.

RECENT TOURNAMENTS: 44th, 5th, 21st and 43rd over the last 4 events.

RANKS THAT STAND OUT OVER LAST 36 ROUNDS: 6th in DK points, 22nd in APP, 16th in putting, 6th in BOB%, 22nd in proximity, 7th in P3 scoring and 17th in P5 scoring.

NOTES: He is priced in the mid 7k’s on DK and has put up 86, 96, 73 and 89 DKP over the last 4 events and that is crazy value on his price tag. This course should play easy so not worried about little course history here.

PETER MALNATI (7300 DK / 8800 FD)

TOURNEY HISTORY: He finished 58th here last year and then has 3 missed cuts and a 10th place finish 5 years ago. Not a good history on this course but he is getting back and playing well right now.

RECENT TOURNAMENTS: 48th, 21st, 5th and 2nd over the last 4 events.

RANKS THAT STAND OUT OVER LAST 36 ROUNDS: 16th in DK points, 20th in putting and 11th in BOB%.

NOTES: With his DKP run of 75, 86, 118 and 121 over his last 4 and priced at only 7300 that is just too much upside to pass on.

BRICE GARNETT (7000 DK / 8600 FD)

TOURNEY HISTORY: He has played great on this course with finishes of 11th, 5th, 25th and 7th over the last 4 events played here.

RECENT TOURNAMENTS: In his last 4 events he has a mixed cut, 50th, 21st and 50th so a little bit all over the place.

RANKS THAT STAND OUT OVER LAST 36 ROUNDS: 12th in putting, 29th in P5 scoring.

NOTES: With how well he has performed at this course and the low 7000 price tag he is in play for me. Prior to his last missed cut event he has put up 65, 75 and 83 DKP so that is pushing and exceeding 10x value.
