NBA Breakdown from CheatSheetPros!
QUICK NEWS AND NOTES:
NBA is changing throughout the day so if you are new to NBA DFS then you need to be ready to make pivotal moves 30 minutes prior to lock. Just another reminder if you are new that was post this NBA CheatSheet every Thursday in our “Free” Facebook group for people to try out. (Link is at the bottom of article.) I post it in the morning and then update and post it again 60-90 minutes prior to lock.
VALUE PLAYS:
It is difficult to project a low priced guy this early in the day. Most of the best value plays pop up inside that last hour prior to lock. I would suggest no matter what tools you are using that when finding a value play look at their FPPM (Fantasy Point Per Minute) production over the season and last 5 games. I see so many “value plays” that are chalky but the guy has a FPPM of 0.65 or 0.72 and they just don’t do anything. I prefer guys with a FPPM over 1.00 but at least over 0.90 at a minimum. Also, a GUARD/CENTER value play usually performs better than a random forward because they are more involved. That’s just my two cents.
5 MID-TIER SMASH PLAYS FOR TUESDAY!
DEJOUNTE MURRAY – Rematch from last night where he just put up 62 DKPs and had a whopping 8 STEALS, 27 real points and 10 boards going 10 of 19 from the field. With Aldridge out DeMar DeRozan and Murry eat up all the usage. His usage jumps to around 25%. 6500 on DK is just too cheap and his minutes are locked in with Derrick White and Lonnie Walker out.
STERLING BROWN – Tossing in a value vault play for tonight at almost min price. For 3200 on DK we only need around 16 points for 5x value and a solid 6x value is only 19 points. He has 26.25, dud, 23.75 and 31.5 so he has smashed in 3 of the last 4 games. He is only playing around 25 minutes but he is picking up steals, assists, boards, etc. Great lineup filler.
DRAYMOND GREEN – He is back to being fantasy relevant priced at only 6900 and putting up 40+ DKPs 3 games in a row with a high of 48.5! With no Wiseman and Looney he is playing 35+ minutes per game and his assists over that last 3 games have been 10, 15 and 15, Wow! Sub 7K guy that can push 50 DKPs, yes please!
DONOVAN MITCHELL – Mike Conley has already been ruled out which means Mitchell will touch the ball 90+ times again. He is coming off 57.75 DKPs where the played 38 minutes and shot the ball 25 TIMES! YES 25! The team only scored 103 total points and he still had almost 60 DKPs and he is priced barely over 8K tonight. 5x seems like a floor for him tonight but if you don’t agree then I’d roll Clarkson.
LONZO BALL – Red hot right now putting up 30+ DKPs in 6 straight games with highest of 47.25 and 41.25. His 3 point shooting over the last 3 games has been phenomenal going 4 for 6, 5 of 9 and 4 of 7. He is only 6300 and the Pelicans have been hot!
