6 DFS Stacks w/ Screen Shots for Tuesday from CheatSheetPros.com!

MLB DFS Stacks from CheatSheetPros!

QUICK NEWS AND NOTES: (DFS Stacks)

STACKING is a must in DFS. I prefer to stack 4-5 hitters from one team and then 2-3 from another team for a “mini stack”. You can do 4/4 or 5/3, etc. The idea of stacking is when one hitter is on base and the guy behind him hits him in then you get points for the run scored and also the RBI from the other hitter. I base my stacks on cost per player and how chalky it may or may not be. Here is what I’m looking at today.

STACKS TO CONSIDER:

WASHINGTON VS. TYLER MAHLE (21ST BULLPEN)

VEGAS PROJECTED RUNS: 4.3

WEATHER: Wind blowing OUT at 8mph

WHAT WE LIKE:

If people start looking at Vegas projected runs for the day then WAS is 12th on the list at only 4.3 so I like this to bit a little no the “lower owned” side of things. Tyler Mahle is a solid pitcher but starting to struggle. In 2 of his last 4 starts he has allowed 7 ER and 6 ER. In the other two he had a solid start @COL and against a horrible PIT team. Bullpen behind him ranks 21st and the wind is blowing out. In 47 team Abs they are hitting .277 off him with 4 HRs. I like stacking these guys:

1 – Trea Turner – hitting .324 and red hot right now.

2 – Juan Soto – hitting .282 and a low 10% K rate vs. RHP.

(3) I’m skipping over Josh Bell as he is hitting .203 and only 2 for 12 off Mahle and has a 29% K rate vs. RHP so this will be contrarian against the people who take the straight up 1-4 or 1-5 hitters.

4 – Kyle Schwarber – hitting only .234 but has the highest ISO on the team vs. RHP and highest ceiling with a 5 for 16 off Mahle BVP history.

(5) Skipping over Castro, no particular reason just doesn’t blow me away.

6 – Josh Harrison – hitting .307 with a low 14% K rate vs. RHP and only 3500 bucks to save some cash in our lineup.

PREFERRED STACK: 1 – 2 – 4 – 6

BOSTON VS CHARLIE MORTON (25TH BULLPEN)

VEGAS PROJECTED RUNS: 4.8

WEATHER: Wind blowing OUT at 14 mph

WHAT WE LIKE:

Boston can get hot and drop 7-10 runs any game that is just the kind of team they are. Charlie Morton is a premium pitcher who is good at HOME and struggles a little on the road where he is today. He also struggles vs. RHH and Boston looks like they are rolling out at least 6 of them. Last year Morton allowed a .227 average at home but .318 on the road, his whip jumped from 1.24 to 1.52. This year he is allowing a low .185 average to lefties and .274 to righties and the bullpen behind him is 25th so that’s a plus even if he has a good game tonight. Boston is scoring 5.28 runs per game at home and 3rd in most HRs over the last two weeks. Boston is also hitting .287 off Morton with 115 team Abs. These are the guys I like to stack around:

2 – Alex Verdugo – hitting .297, low 12% K rate vs. RHP and projected to hit #2.

3 – JD Martinez – hitting .328 and 9 for 27 off Morton, say no more.

4 – Xander Bogaerts – hitting .345 and 12 for 33 off Morton.

5 – Rafael Devers – hitting .278 with a low 17% K rate vs. RHP and 8 for 26 off Morton.

ATLANTA VS. GARRETT RICHARDS (6th BULLPEN)

VEGAS PROJECTED RUNS: 4.7

WEATHER: Wind blowing out at 14 mph

WHAT WE LIKE:

ATL has W3 straight games and they are 4th in runs per game over the last two weeks and 1st in HRs over that same span. This team is red hot right now and this should be a great series. Richards is a decent pitcher having a solid year but at home this year he is allowing a .320 batting average and whip of 2.13 vs. only .246 and 1.23 on the road. Now these are limited innings to take it with a grain of salt but if there is any merit there and the team is red hot take a shot in a GPP. Hitters I like:

1 - Ronald Acuna – no explanation needed

2 – Freddie Freeman

4 – Ozzie Albies – lowest K% on the team vs. RHP at 16%

7 – Austin Riley – He exploded over the last week and I’m following him closely because he was a big pickup in my season long MLB leagues.

TAMPA BAY VS. BRAD KELLER (24TH BULLPEN)

VEGAS PROJECTED RUNS: 5.0

WEATHER: Dome

WHAT WE LIKE:

Tampa Bay has won 11 straight games and 16-4 in their L20 games. Obviously they rank #1 in our L10 game power rankings and they are #2 in runs per game over the last two weeks. Brad Keller had a decent year last year but this year he is struggling. His BABIP is at .372 so that tells us he has been unlucky. Keller is allowing a .331 batting average, 1.84 whip and has an ERA of 6.52 on the year in 38.2 IP. Going up against a red hot team we have to hit Tampa with a stack. Players we like:

6 – Joey Wendle – he is cheaper at 4200 on DK and hitting .298 with a 15% K rate vs. RHP. I like building around him to get away from the standard 1-4 or 1-5 stacks out there.

8 – Mike Zunino – only 3700 but has been ripping the ball lately blasting HRs.

Vegas projected 5.0 runs so this will be chalky so avoid doing the 1-4 or 1-5 hitter stacks and mix it up a little, I prefer taking 1-3 hitters with Joey Wendel in the projected 6 hole and Zunino to give it a little different GPP target.

MINNESTOA VS. DEAN KREMER (14TH BULLPEN)

VEGAS PROJECTED RUNS: 5.5

WEATHER: Wind blowing OUT at 14mph

WHAT WE LIKE:

Any pitcher that is allowing a .295 batting average through 34 IP is going to get targeted. He has been horrible at home but today he is on the road where he has been slightly better but limited innings. MIN has been less than exciting with their 4.3 runs per game over the last two weeks but they are at least 6th in HRs. I like the stack because it is cheap and you can get into it for 4,180 per hitter if you take the highest graded players. Hitters we like:

2 – Josh Donaldson – only 4100 so cheap hitter atop the lineup.

4 – Nelson Cruz – hitting .292 in the clean up spot he is a must in the stack.

6 – Miguel Sano – you have to ride Sano when he is hot and he is hot right now with the highest FPPG over the last week of anyone on his team.

7 – Max Kepler – second highest graded player, second highest FPPG average on the team over the last week and highest over the last two weeks.

SAN FRANCISCO VS. CORBIN MARTIN (28TH BULLPEN)

VEGAS PROJECTED RUNS: 5.0

WEATHER: Dome

WHAT WE LIKE:

SFG have been the surprising team of the season and rank 7th in our L10 game power rankings, 8th in runs per game and 7th in HRs. I like them because they are cheap and you can get into a 5 man stack for 4,420 per hitter. Build around these hitters:

2 – Mike Yastrzemski – 2nd in FPPG over the last week.

3 – Buster Posey – hitting .355 this year and surging after taking last year off.

6 – Brandon Crawford – highest graded hitter on the team and hottest with a massive ceiling.
