FRIDAY NIGHT ACTION:
TAYLOR HUDSON OVER 75.5 RECEIVING YARDS
This is a game I expect UCF to win and Louisville to being play a bit of catch up and throwing a little more. Hudson now the WR-1 for Louisville and had a great opening week with 8 grabs for 102 yards on 9 targets. His raw projection is 6 grabs for 88 yards putting him over this number.
ISAIAH BOWSER OVER 14.5 FANTASY POINTS
He is projected for 20 carries for 105 yards and a touchdown with another 1-2 grabs for 12-15 more yards for around 20.5 fantasy points. Last week he ran 23 times (love the high attempts) for 83 yards and 2 touchdowns and caught 3 balls for 26 yards. He had 25.9 fantasy points last week and going up against Louisville tonight the 14.5 feels very do-able. If you read my College Football Betting article you know that I love Syracuse this week and that is mainly because they destroyed Louisville last week. They held Louisville to only 7 points, 15 first downs and then rushed for 207 yards. UCF put up 600 yards last week with 292 rushing yards and 29 first downs. It was against South Carolina State but still like seeing them rack up the production.
JOHN RHYS PLUMLEE (247.5 PASSING / 2.0 PASSING TDS / 59.5 RUSHING)
I love taking this guy in a prop line on Friday night but I’m not sure which way I’m going to attack it. I might lean on the 27.0 fantasy points as he put up 42.5 fantasy points last week. He is projected for 220 and 2 with 48 rushing yards. However, that feels way too low! Last week he put up 308 passing yards, 4 touchdowns and rushed for 86 yards and another touchdown on his way to north of 40 fantasy points. I like all his props and in order I’m going: 1) Fantasy Points o27 2) Passing Yards o247.5 3) Passing TDs over 2.0 (2 gives us a push which is solid) but this game has a total of 61 and ONLY 2 is hard to vision!
HONORABLE MENTION: TIYON EVANS OVER 72.5 RUSHING YARDS
This one is risky but if you want another leg for Friday night action I’d look at Evans. He had 89 yards last week (only 13 carries) but the only other RB had 4 carries so he was the primary. His raw projection is 67 yards on the ground and I shy away from this pick but it’s worth an add if putting together a big card.
WEEKEND ACTION:
ANTHONY GRANT OVER 101.5 RUSHING YARDS
Anthony Grant is a RB for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and they have 2 games under their belt. They lost week 1 to Northwestern 31-28 and in that game Grant ran 19 times for 101 yards and 2 touchdowns. This week they have a cake walk against Georgia Southern so how will Grant do vs. a walk over team? Will he get pulled and rested after they are up? That is always the fear but luckily Nebraska played North Dakota in week 2 and won 38-17 and in that game Grant ran 23 times for 189 yards and another 2 touchdowns. Taking the OVER!
MAC HIPPENHAMMER OVER 70.5 RECEIVING YARDS
Just love the name so I started to dig in and liked what I found. He is projected for 6-7 grabs for 103 yards this week putting him way over 70.5. But I don’t like raw projections so we have to dig in and see what he’s done so far. Currently the WR-1 for Miami (OH) he had 7 grabs for 85 yards week 1 vs. Kentucky and doesn’t play a top defense this week so taking the over as it feels low.
TANK BIGSBY OVER 111.5 RUSHING YARDS
Auburn vs. San Jose State jumped out on my betting radar after Portland State almost knocked them off and held a 24-17 first down edge and 395-288 yard edge. Tank Bigsby should run wild over San Jose State this weekend in a game they should have locked. Last week he ran 16 times for 147 yards and 2 touchdowns!
