MLB Sports Betting Picks & DFS Stacks from CheatSheetPros!
QUICK NEWS AND NOTES:
This summer has been a world wind and I've been extremely busy so sorry I haven't had much time for posting my "thoughts", "picks" or "plays" but NFL is coming in fast and I will be all over it as that is my favorite sport by far! Here are some MLB plays that I like tonight and I'm going to keep this SHORT AND SWEET! I just posted the SCREEN SHOTs from the MLB Cheatsheet and circled the items that I noticed and also recapped all the games I like with quick write up in the other screen shot.
HOW TO BET THE GAMES:
MLB can be tricky and I don't pride myself on being a "handicapping service" and giving you the exact bets. I'm glad to share my bets in our chat but everyone has a different risk/reward tolerance. If you want a higher win percentage and lower payout then you can be a single game money line or parlay your favorite two money lines together. If you want less risk and bigger payout then parlay together several games and mix in some run lines and really rack up the payout with lower risk.
EXAMPLE OF A HIGHER WIN PERCENTAGE PLAY WITH MORE RISK:
Houston (Valdez -210) - Risking 2.1 units to win 1.0 unit.
EXAMPLE OF A LOWER RISK AND HIGHER PAYOUT (My favorite):
Houston (-1.5) parlayed with Washington (Scherzer) and Giants (Gausman) - 1 unit of risk pays +300 so 3 units back.
If your bet unit size is $20 then in the top example you are risking $42 to win $20 but only have 1 game to sweat. In the lower example you are risking $20 (or you could even do a half unit of $10) and you are lookin to win 3 units so $20 for $60 or $10 or $30.
LONG SHOT PARLAYS:
The days that I do bet I always do a 1/4 of a unit "Long Shot Parlay" that pays something stupid just for a fun sweat to stay interested in the other games. It's a losing batting in the long run but when you do hit one it's nice. So if you are a $20 unit better for example you might risk $5 to win something like $100-$150+. These are really fun when you have multiple sports such as NHL playoffs, NBA playoffs and MLB daily games and your book allows "open spots".
VEGAS ODDS LIVE BOARD:
This is our Vegas board for MLB on the MLB cheatsheet. Here we can see the probable pitchers, xFIP, K9 rate and Fantasy Points over L7 starts along with the teams runs per game over L3 and L14 days, Vegas line open vs. current to see any quick movements and bet percentages for side, run line and totals. I've circled the games that I discuss below. (The vegas lines/odds automatically update each time you reopen the excel sheet.)
