NBA Daily Fantasy Picks from CheatSheetPros!
QUICK NEWS AND NOTES:
Two game slate tonight so as always I had some free time this morning so dropping some DFS plays for all you fantasy players out there. I’ll focus on value plays, mid-range players and then my pay up for stud and why I prefer him over the other guys. Good luck and have some fun!
VALUE PLAYS:
MATISSE THYBULLE – SF/PF [DK: 3600 / FD: 4300]
His last 5 played games he has put up 18.5, 29, 6, 22.5, 20.5 and 22.5 DKPs and we only need around 18 DKP for 5x value and anything after is just a bonus. The 6 point game he only played 16 minutes but all other games he played between 26-39 minutes and was over 5x in all of them. He is a safe near min priced punt option tonight on this small 2 game slate.
PATRICK BEVERLEY – PG [DK: 4200 / FD: ???]
2 sites have him projected for around 25-28 minutes and 2 other sites don’t have a projection for him at all so this is something to monitor. He is getting close to returning and his price tag is dirt cheap for his production. He last played on 1/19 but only 6 minutes due to an injury but in the prior 6 games he hit highs of 40 and 37.75 DKPs which is around 10x his current price tag and those were only playing 21 and 26 minutes. In the other 4 games he was a consistent 23.75 – 30.25 DKPs always hitting 5x value and usually in the 6x-7x range.
JARRED VANDERBILT – PF/C [DK: 5500 / FD: 6100]
He is the 4th highest rated GPP Algo player on my NBA Cheatsheet coming off back to back 6x+ games putting up 44.75 and 33.25 DKPs his price is too cheap! He has a low floor with so many scorers on the Wolves but he is cheap enough that 5x isn’t hard for him to hit since he is contributing across the board. What is impressive is the 10 STEALS in the last 3 games, 11 ASSISTS and 30 BOARDS so he is racking up points without scoring actual baskets.
NEMANJA BJECLIA - PF/C [DK: 3500 / FD: 4000]
Prefer him for GPP only due to the limited minutes on the floor but he is someone that is near min price that can hit value and not kill your lineup. Over his last 4 games he has 18, 20, 16 and 14 minutes putting up 33, 19, 17 and 22 DKPs and we only need around 17.5 DKP for 5x value. Risky but worth a shot.
MID-RANGE PLAYS:
TOBIAS HARRIS – PF [DK: 7300 / FD: 8100]
He has been exploding the last 4 games so take a shot on him tonight and see if it continues. 4 games ago was 8 of 13 from the floor with 4 boards, 4 assists, 2 steals and a block putting up 38.5 DKP which is 5x his salary today and that is when his run started. He followed that game up with 43.25 DKP, 42.25 DKP and then exploded for 57.25 DKP last game against the Pelicans on 1/25.
ANTHONY EDWARDS – SG/SF [DK: 8100 / FD: 7300]
His likely outcome tonight is 5x value but I want to take a shot on him after his last game where he exploded for 65.25 DKPs! To give you a ceiling that 65.25 DKP is higher than any game LeBron James and Steph Curry have had over the last 5 games and he is 2K-3K less so why not take a shot? He has 40, 25, 20 and 21 actual points which gives you a solid floor of scoring and in his last game he had 3 steals and 3 blocks which is big scoring items on DK. He has also his 15 3P shots in the last 3 games.
PAY-UP STUD:
JOEL EMBIID - C [DK: 11400 / FD: 11400]
With only 2 games there are only 3 guys priced over $10K on DK tonight and only 1 of them has 2 6x or better games in the last 10 days and that is none other than Joel Embiid who has put up 73.5, 65.5, 67.8 and 77 DKP over the last 4 games. LeBron is fine but at only 300 less and with Anthony Davis back his upside isn’t as high. LeBron has been in the 5x range in 3 of the last 4 but no 6x games and 2 games below 50 in his last 5. Steph Curry is 1100 less on DK but only has 41, 27, 51, 61 and 41 DKPs over his last 5 so his floor is much lower.
OTHER NOTES ON THE 2 GAME SLATE:
LAKERS @ 76’ERS (-2.5) – VEGAS 220.5 TOTAL
Limit your Lakers tonight they have only scored over 107 points one time in the last 6 games. Philly has played in totals of 224, 224, 203 and 233 over the last 4 games and they have put up 117 115, 101 and 123 points in 3 of the last 4 so I prefer 76’ers over Lakers in this spot but the slate is small enough we need exposure to almost every team. My NBA Sports Betting model has this at 218 total points.
TIMERWOLVES @ WARRIORS (-6.5) – VEGAS 227.5 TOTAL
MIN has won 4 of the last 5 games putting up 119+ points in 3 of the last 5 including a 119-99 win at home last time they played the Warriors (1/16). Warriors coming off a massive win against DAL where they put up 130 points in a 38 points win over a dominating defensive team. This should be the main focus of the DFS players with the higher total and recent success.
