STACKING FOR GPPS:

The stacking concept is simple. Most GPP winning lineups will have a team QB and usually at least 2 pass catchers and one from the opposing team. So that is a good start for building your lineups. Find your QB + 2 pass catchers + 1 run back player from the other team and fill in from there.

HOW DID WE DO IN LAST WEEKS ARTICLE?

GPP Algo plays for the main slate were pretty solid! We smashed the RB position as you can see with 8 of 10 smashing. The top end WRs were decent but we did peg DaVante Adams and Mike Williams for monster hits of 40.6 DKP and 39.5 DKP! We also had cash stack of: Joe Burrow / Tee Higgins / Ja'Marr Chase + DaVante Adams we if you watched any NFL last weekend you knew that was a sweat and exploded!

STACKS WE LIKE FOR THIS WEEK:

CASH / GPP Stacks: These were found sorting by "Ceiling Value" on our Stacks Tab!

  • Lamar Jackson / Marquise Brown / Mark Andrews + Mike Williams

  • Justin Herbert / Mike Williams / Jared Cook + Marquise Brown

Both of these stacks are GPP because of the "ceiling value" projected by the mix of players. But if you notice they are also some of the highest AVERAGE VALUE stacks that we also use for cash games. I like these stacks for cash or gpp and they are mid-tier pricing so you will need some value plays to roll these out!

GPP Stacks with Upside! Sorting this by "team implied total" (far right column) I scroll down to find the lower salary cap that is affordable. This helps find stacks on games with a good Vegas implied total that are cheap. The first one that comes up is Indy.

  • Carson Wentz / Michael Pittman / Moe Alie-Cox + Brandin Cooks

This stack is cheap at only 40% of cap space so you can even upgrade off Moe Cox. I mean we don't want Moe Cox we want Less Cox, lol. Sorry that is my joke for the day. Vegas implied total of >26 points and stack cost of $19,800 will leave you around $7,000 per player left and those are fun lineups to make!

OTHER STACKS WE LIKE:

  • Patrick Mahomes / MeCole Hardman / Darrel Williams

I typically can't stack KC because of the high cost of Tyreek and Kelce but this week we have some new options! Without going full stat nerd on you just understand this game should have a ton of points scored. KC is Elite and their defensive makes the other team Elite! These two teams make up the 32nd and 28th overall defenses in the NFL and even better the 31st and 29th pass defenses. KC is allowing a 77% touchdown rate in the red zone AND 5.2 yards per carry that ranks 30th. We have over 900 projected yards of offense and both teams have a shot to chase 28-35 points making it a fun game for DFS.

Darrel Williams (4900) is cheap enough that 50 rushing yards and 5 catches for 50 will give him 3x value and a score would boost him to 4x+. MeCole Hardman (4200) finally decided to show up last week with 16.6 DKPs and got 12 targets catching 9 for 76 yards. Mahomes with some cheap options or even working in a Tyreek or Kelce with Mecole is a solid stack option.

LA RAMS

  • Matthew Stafford / Robert Woods / Kadarius Toney

Robert Woods is $1,800 cheaper than Cooper Kupp and had 12 catches on 14 targets last week with 150 yards for 30 DKP. They wanted to get Woods more involved so if this isn't a one time thing (which I don't think it will be) Woods provides us with a solid value play this week.

Below is a screen shot of the DK fantasy points per week for the players on each team for Weeks 1-5. I put these on my "Stack Tab" so I can find trends and players that might "pop". Kadarius Toney was the "Hot Add" this week on season long waviers and he is only $5,600 on DK if you want to run it back with a high upside guy for a GPP shot.

INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS WE LIKE THIS WEEK:

RUNNING BACKS:

AUSTIN EKELER - Elite option putting up 34 - 33 - 23 and 22 DKP the last 4 weeks. Facing a BAL team that is 29th vs. pass catching running backs. Ekeler should have plenty of "big chunk runs" in this game as our RB Trench Tool shows BAL is 27th vs. 5-10 yard runs and 24th vs. 10+ yard runs. His PPR value on DK always makes him a safe option for cash or gpp.

NICK CHUBB - ARI is allowing 139 rushing yards per game (28th) and CLE is rushing for 187.6 yards per game (1st). He has solid attempts every week with 21, 21 and 22 the L3 and coming off a 161 yard game last week and 100 the week prior. Just look at this RB Trench Tool from our NFL sheet. "OFF" vs. "DEF" line is 2nd vs. 25th, 5-10 yard runs is 2nd vs. 32nd and 10+ yard runs is 1st vs. 23rd. Also, consider Kareem Hunt as his production has been solid as the 1A in Cleveland.

JONATHAN TAYLOR - Finally starting to see some Taylor action and that great O-Line which is why I have him almost everywhere in season long leagues. Averaging 15-17 rushing attempts per game and 1-4 targets gives him a solid floor in any good matchup. He is coming off 53 rush yards but 116 receiving yards due to the 76 yard TD he caught to start the game. with 35 and 23 DKP the last two weeks $6.6k just feels too cheap this week. HOU giving up 135 rushing yards per game (26th) along with 4.4 yards per carry. Should get a healthy dose of Taylor this week and a TD. Here is the RB trench look for Taylor.

DARRELL WILLIAMS - He is sub $5K on DK and should get the majority of touches in a high scoring affair. Last week he came right it and caught 3 balls for 18 yards and average 5.4 yards per carry. Solid cash value but likely extremely chalky in GPP.

WIDE RECEIVERS:

We all know who the STUDS are so I decided to start at low $7k range and work my way down.

D.J. MOORE - Last week he was completely locked down and Sam Darnold had no where else to throw. I'm going right back to Moore this week in a much better matchup vs. MIN. Prior to last week he caught 8 balls 3 weeks in a row on 12, 12 and 11 targets and put up 113, 126 and 79 yards. He still had 7 targets last week but 2 of them were picks and his 5 balls for 42 yards will likely make your average DFS player scroll past him.

JA'MARR CHASE - Had not to have him in the column this week after those 31 DKP last week catching 6 balls on 10 targets for 159 yards and a score. He has 3 games this year over 3x value and his targets have been constantly growing. DET ranks 22nd and 20th vs. WR-1 and WR-2 so he should get his 3x without any issues this week.

COURTLAND SUTTON - He is a perfect GPP dart because he will give you 1x value or 5x value. He has two games of 28 DKP which is around 5x value and then 3 games that are 1x or lower. Vegas allows 24 PPG this year, why not.

ROBERT WOODS - Save $1,800 and come down to Woods and hope last week was not a one time thing. He was 12 of 14 for 150 yards last week putting up 30 DKP without getting into the endzone. Kupp is priced just right but still value on Woods at only $6.1K.

BRANDON COOKS - Sub $6K and people will likely look past him after 5 and 9 DKP the last two week. In those games he faced New England who shuts down the opponent WR-1 and went on the road to Buffalo which is one the top 2 defenses in the NFL right now. Prior to that he had 23.7, 22.8 and 21.2 DKPs and 32 targets across those 3 games. Now he gets an IND team that is 20th in pass yards per game allowed and ranks 25th vs. WR-1 and 32nd vs. WR-2 so he should get all the targets he can handle.

MICHAEL PITTMAN - Solid option at $5.5K and has eclipsed 20 DKP 2 of the last 4 weeks giving you around 4x for a high end and then a solid 2x-3x floor so he won't lay an egg for you in a cash game. 6 catches for 60 yards and a score isn't out of the question and that's 3.5x value.

MECOLE HARDMAN - Barely over $4000 this week and got 12 TARGETS last week. Yes please! Hopefully he can keep it up and be a part of this great offense that doesn't want to play any "D" this year.

LINEUP SHELLS - I'M LOOKING AT THESE BUILDS FOR THIS WEEK:

These are just shell lineups to get your juices flowing and give you some ideas!

Cheap Kansas City stack with 2 solid RBs and some upside WRs. You could also add D. Williams to this in the flex.

IND Stack with Brandin Cooks run back option.

LARams stack with the lower cost Woods and run back with the hot potatoe Toney and filling in with 2 solid producing RBs.
