NFL Week 2 Breakdown!

NFL Breakdown from CheatSheetPros!

QUICK NEWS AND NOTES:

When looking at the Week 2 slate I’m going to stick to the mid-lower priced options and some stacks. I don’t want to cover all the high-end guys as those are obvious and everyone is covering them. I want to find some lower options that you can use and then you can mix and match your favorite studs. I’ve been in a training thing all week so I have not been able to write any PGA or MLB breakdowns this week but should be back to normal before too long!

PLAYERS AND STACKS TO CONSIDER THIS WEEK:

RONALD JONES – He is priced very low this week on DK and he is going to get to face a CAR rush defense that just let Josh Jacobs run all over them. CAR gave up 133 rushing yards last week and Jones seems like a decent punt play if you want to squeeze in some studs. Tampa Bay should have this game locked up and spend most of the second half running out the clock. I can’t see Teddy Bridgewater keeping CAR in this game with that Bucs defense.

STEELERS: Benny Snell Jr. will likely be a chalky punt this week at only 4500 on DK. We have him for around 70-80 yards and a good shot at a score and a couple catches. DEN has a solid defense but did give up 130 rushing yards last week so he is a viable punt option. JuJu Smith-Schuster & Diontae Johnson are priced at 6500 and 4500 this week and one of them is likely to have a big week. DEN has a solid defense but these guys are just too much. I don’t mind the Ben Roethlisberger stack with one or both of these guys as that is cheap and our model has PIT putting up around 27 points which is 3 higher than the Vegas projection.

ATLANTA @ DALLAS GAME STACK: Get some of this game in your DFS lineups! The total opened at 50 and has already moved up to 52.5 with 98% of the money on the OVER. ATL is the perfect team that can’t stop anyone and they are a great passing offense. Last week they threw for 434 passing yards and still lost the game! DAL gave up 269 passing yards last week and 153 rushing yards. Both teams should be able to score at will and there should be plenty of DK points to go around. Matt Ryan (6600) is cheap and you can pair him with Julio Jones (7400), Calvin Ridley (6800) or slide down to Russell Gage (4800). If you are going to game stack make sure to run back your ATL stack with a DAL WR like Amari Cooper (6300) or slide down and take Michael Gallup (5600) or CeeDee Lamb (4700). Both teams are 30th and 25th vs. WR-1 so both should have a big day. I just prefer Matt Ryan over Dak due to Zeke will likely grab a TD or two that Dak won’t get unless it’s on a screen pass. Should be a fun game to watch!

FRANK GORE: If you can’t tell I’m going right down the list of games and noting any players that jump out at me. Frank Gore (4500) is another decent punt with Bell on the IR. We have him around 60-80 total yards with a couple grabs and a 60% shot at a touchdown. SF is a tough rushing defense but did give up 180 on the ground last week so expecting 60-70 from Gore isn’t a stretch.

MIN @ INDY GAME STACK: I think this could be a sneaky game stack. Most people will likely levitate to Dalvin Cook but INDY has a solid rush defense this year. MIN has a secondary that is horrible! They gave up 364 passing yards last week and after seeing their CBs I locked in DeVante Adams last week who went ham! I love the Phillip Rivers (5900) (that is sooo cheap!) with a mix of WR/TE and/or Nyheim Hines. Remember, what a stud Ekeler was in San Diego? Hines is going to be Ekeler 2.0 and priced at only 5300. Parris Campbell (4500) is extremely cheap and we have him at around 5 catches for 50 yards at a 30% shot at a TD. Rivers will throw 3 touchdown passes this week and whoever catches 2 of them is your DFS stud! Run back your Phillip Rivers stack with none other than Adam Thielen (7200) who we have for 6 catches for 75 yards and a 60% shot at a score.

ADRIAN PETERSON – Why not? He is only 4700 and GB gave up 134 rushing yards last week.

AARON JONES – More expensive at 7100 but he had the most red zone looks on the team and DET gave up 149 rushing yards last week.

TITANS: TEN is projected across the board for around 81.4 total fantasy points in the game. Now the reason I bring that up is that is extremely low and JAX gave up 112.6 total fantasy points last week. So we have an extra 30 DK points that are not allocated to any single player? This is what I call, “Upside Room”. Henry should rock 100 yard game and get into the endzone. A.J. Brown (6100) and Corey Davis (4000) are too cheap but I don’t think they can all have big games.

WASHINGTON DEFENSE: They were minimum price last week on DK and they were locked into all my lineups. They have a stellar defensive front and they will get pressure on Kyler Murray. I’m excited to see how this game plays out but WAS getting +7 right now seems very intriguing considering their defense. If you are in season long leagues pick up WASH and just ride them out as they will wreck havoc all year long!
