NFL Week 2 from CheatSheetPros!

NFL Plays & Stats from CheatSheetPros!

If you are a premium member make sure you check out the NFL version 3 Cheatsheet as I made some new adds during the Tampa game last night! How about that Tampa Defense?

WIDE RECEIVERS:

JuJu Smith-Schuster (7500) – Coming off of a tough matchup I am hoping the general community will fade him and keep his ownership numbers down.  NE is known for shutting down the WR1 so his mediocre game isn’t a big deal in my eyes.  I know it is only 1 week but Seattle allowed 61.9 fantasy points to the WR position.  Big Ben also has monster splits at HOME throughout his career.  Look for a big game from JuJu!

Sammy Watkins (7200) – How high do you think his ownership is going to be after that monster game last week?  I’m fine locking him in for cash but for GPPs I’ll have a lower share due to the ownership he is going to pull.  With no Tyreek Hill that is going to drive it even higher.  Mecole Hardman (4800) is a good GPP pivot.  The 2nd round pick from the 2019 draft is 5’10” and 183 lbs with 4.33 speed.  Ownership should be low on him and he has big play ability.

Tyrell Williams (4400) – I was shocked to see this price tag.  He should be a highly owned WR and if he isn’t then I may lock him in.  Vegas total of 53.5 with a favorable game script.  What I mean by favorable game script is that KC should have the lead and Oakland will be playing “catch up” all game throwing the ball.  He is also coming off a 6-107 and a TD game.  KC allowed 60.5 FP to the WR spot in Week 1.  They were surprisingly decent vs. the RB (Fournette) and only allowed 14.1 points.  Through the air is the way to go!  Waller (3300) is another target I want in this game.  Tyrell and Waller should take the majority of targets and one of them is going to have a big game if not both!

Larry Fitz (4600) – Facing a tough BAL team ARI will definitely have to throw.  Favorable game script for Fitz and he should see a ton of targets.  Coming off an 8 catch 113 yard performance with a TD on 13 targets he is priced favorably for us to use in GPPs.  Kirk (4500) is another pivot to consider.  He didn’t have a stand out game last week but he did have 12 targets which could turn into big yardages down the road if that continues.

Danny Amendola (3900) – Coming off a 26.4 point performance for 7 catches, 104 yards and a TD.  Also had 13 targets in the game.  He is the cheap version of Crowder.  If he can keep up the “Golden Tate” role even an 8 catch for 80 yards is over 4x value.  Solid returns on these lower priced guys.

Travis Benjamin (3200) – He is popping out on my optimizer as the top value play so far this week.  Almost min priced and with no Hunter Henry and Mike Williams questionable he could see a few extra targets.  Most of the passing offense runs through Keenan Allen and Ekeler but can’t pass up this near min price tag.

TIGHT ENDS:

Evan Engram (5200) – Coming off a HUGE 6x value game last week he put up 31.6 DK points with 11 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown.  That was on 14 targets!  He is priced fair and his targets aren’t going away this week.

Mark Andrews (3800) – ARI gave up 27.6 fantasy points to the TE position last week. Yes, I know it is only one week.  I get 10-15 messages every year from people saying it’s only 1 week, it’s only 2 weeks, 3 weeks, etc.  I’m just putting out the data and you make the decision.  Coming off an 8 catch, 108 yard performance with a TD.

D. Waller (3300) – Okay so the Hard Knocks standout is pretty good at football.  Now with Antonio Brown out Waller and Tyrell should get a ton of looks.  Remember Doss?  He was amazing and made a ton of great catches and then got cut by Oakland.  I believe it was Jacksonville that picked him up and when Oakland tried to come back and get him after AB left Jax offered him the min to stay on their practice squad.  Something changed because I believe he is back in Oakland now so someone to keep an eye on.

T.J. Gronkenstein (3000) – My man!  I was lucky enough to grab him up in a few season long leagues where I needed a TE and he paid off huge in week 1.  He put up a 6 catch for 131 yards and a TD performance on 9 targets.  He had 161 air yards in Week 1 which was the most by any TE in any week last year!  He also had the most yards by any TE in Week 1 AND the most yards all-time from any TE debut.  At 6’5” and 247 lbs I’m excited to watch him this year.  At near MIN price you have to put him in your player pool.  Most people will ride Kelce and Evan Engram this week so slide down to the 3k range and spent that extra $2k - $3k on RBs.

RUNNING BACKS:

Alvin Kamara (8200) – Favorite game of the week.  Saints vs. Rams which is the re-match of the “no call” last year that killed the Saints season.  Kamara has put up monster games vs. the Rams and I’m looking for another one here.  Vegas total is currently at 52.  And once again I know it’s only 1 week but the Rams last week gave up 49 points to the RB position but held every other position in check with only 7.6 to the TE, 23 to WRs and 11 to the QB.

Chris Carson (6400) – Carson got a nice 15 carries last week and caught 6 balls for 34 yards and managed to put up 2 TDs.  I love these RBs who run the ball and also catch the ball out of the backfield.  They don’t get hurt as much when the game script doesn’t favor them.

Austin Ekeler (6100) – Monster game last week and he looked great!  He put up 39 DK points rushing for 58 yards and catching 6 balls for 96 yards and 2 TDs.  Now there is no Hunter Henry and Mike Williams is Q.

Josh Jacobs (4700) – KC did a great job vs. the run last week but with only 1 week I’m not sold.  Getting a RB that had 23 carries last week at sub $5k pricing?  Yes please!  Game total is at a whopping 53.5 so I’m looking for any piece of this game.

Chris Thompson (3900) – No Guice and AP is boring.  Thompson had 10 targets last week in the passing game and he is cheap.  If you need a punt option to put into your flex look at some Thompson.

LINEUP BUILDING:

Remember the majority of GPP winning lineups have 3 WRs that are under 10% owned, Team stack with QB + 2 other WR or TE players, Chalk RBs that are usually top 10 in ownership and the highest or second highest scoring QB on the slate.

NFL CheatSheet Stacks Tab now has PLAYER GRADES:

This is by far my favorite add. Yes I know it's only 1 week and typically I don't start adding algos and player grades until week 4-5 but I'm just pumped for some NFL! ATT UVerse dropped Red Zone and NFL Network so that was a stressful start to my Sunday on Week 1. But I subscribed to SLING and I can stream Red Zone and NFL Network now. It's awesome if you haven't tried it! I added opponent fantasy points allowed to each position and now that ranks for all NFL teams. The lower number is a harder matchup and the higher number is a better matchup. The hardest 8 and easiest 8 will auto code a light red or light green. Yes I know it's only 1 week of data but come on would you rather have a blank box??? Player Grading column will highlight the top 3 highest graded players in a GREEN so you can quickly see the best possible stacks for each time. Since the majority of GPP winning stacks are QB + 2 players (usually WR/TE) I just highlighted the top 3. The bottom 4 are a light red so those are players you can disregard unless you want to pivot. EVALUATION: This is from the game last night and you see Tampa had RED ranked defensive numbers, given it was only one week but that would of kept me from betting Carolina. You can also see that Carolina last season was dead last (32nd) vs. the WR-2 (Godwin) and Godwin made the highest grade on the Bucs so he was my captain in most of my showdown lineups.
