NFL Week 8 Daily Fantasy Breakdown!

DAILY FANTASY STACKS:

One of the things I like about the NFL cheatsheet is the ease that you can sort out the QB + 2 pass catchers and run back with an opponent pass catcher and find the cost of the stack, projection of that stack, average points produced and the stack ceiling. I also have a column to the right that shows how much cap space the stack will cost and the average salary left over so you can quickly scroll through and decide if it’s a stars and scrubs kind of stack or not.

MIAMI DOLPHINS

Dolphins are the highest projected stack value using QB+WR1+WR2+Opp WR1. That would give you Tua / Tyreek Hill / Jaylen Waddle and Amon-Ra St. Brown for a total of 28,300 projected at 2.63x value. This also has an average produced value of 2.64x and the highest ceiling of any stack at 153.5 which is 5.4x value. Implied team total of 27.25 points this will eat up 57% of your cap space leaving around 4700-4750 left per player.

NO SAINTS

“Red Rifle” gets the nod for this week and that is great for a Saints stack. Last week Dalton threw for 361 yards and 4 touchdowns which was good for 6.4x value on his current salary of only $5500 on DK. You could build a nice Dalton + Chris Olave stack and run it back with Adams. That's not bad for the 12th priced QB on the Sunday slate! Several of the WR-2 possiblities are currently Q so check who is in and out prior to lock.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Geno Smith coming off a couple down games and likely losing DK Metcalf is going to hurt but his 34.7 DKP game he put up in Week 4 shows us the upside he has. Tyler Lockett (Q) would be a cheap option to start the stack off with and then if DK is out which I can’t image he plays I’d go Marquise Goodwin (4400) who had 4 grabs for 67 yards and 2 touchdowns last week. Run this back with Wan’Dale Robsinson (4700) and you have a nice little stack.

RUNNING BACKS:

Looking at the DVP tab on the NFL CheatSheet you can see the "SMASH" spots that some of our running backs are in this week!

DERRICK HENRY

Derrick Henry has the smash spot this week facing the Houston Texans who are giving up 31.9 fantasy points to opponent RBs and that includes 135.5 rushing yards per game and 1.3 rushing touchdowns per game. King Henry with (3) 100+ yard games in a row!

RAHEEM MOSTERT

Lions allowing 29.5 fantasy points to the RB position along with 129.8 rushing yards per game and an eye popping 1.7 rushing touchdowns per game! Anytime touchdown??? He is sitting at 14-18 rushing attempts per game and even got involved in the passing game last week with 5 targets. Really like Mostert this week to go 80+ and a score as a floor against the Lions.

SAQUON BARKLEY

Seahawks allowing 27.8 fantasy points to the RB position but only 0.7 rushing touchdowns per game. What lines up well for Barkley is the 6.3 catches per game they are allowing to the RB along with 51 receiving yards per game. Barkley has 2-6 grabs per game and can put up 20-50 receiving yards on top of his rushing stats. With 46 carries + 7 targets in the last two weeks he is the Giants offense.

WIDE RECEIVERS/TIGHT ENDS:

DJ MOORE

Falcons allowing the most fantasy points to the WR position in the NFL at 46.2 fantasy points per game, 16.1 receptions, 207.9 receiving yards and 1.6 receiving touchdowns. With CMC gone DJ Moore could be the focal point of the offense. Last week he had 7 grabs for 69 yards and a touchdown and he made some amazing catches down field! Definitely think it's worth taking a shot on him at only $5,300 on DK.

TYREEK HILL

I feel like we always need to have him in the article due to his massive upside. Lions middle of the road for the DVP but his targets per week are one of the highest in the NFL. Starting with last week he has 13, 15, 7, 14, 4, 13 and 12 targets which is good for 11.1 per game which is the highest of any pass catcher. In 2 of his last 4 games he has put up 177 and 160 yards in a single game and the Lions can't stop anyone! in the screen shot below you can see that corners for the Lions are awful!

DEANDRE HOPKINS

Vikings bend but don’t break often meaning they are allowing 35.3 fantasy points per game to the WR position which is middle of the pack but they are allowing 188 receiving yards per game which is the 5th most in the league. Hopkins crushed it in his first game back with fresh legs with 14 targets. It’s wild how Marquise Brown goes down with an injury and the following week Hopkins is back in the lineup eating all those Brown targets. Even with the $1k price jump this week he is still too cheap!

OTHER PLAYERS:

JUSTIN FIELDS

I don't mind using Justin Fields as a stand alone QB to build a lineup at only $5,200 on DK. He is coming off a game where he was nearing 5x value and 4x the week prior. In his last 2 games he has rushed for 82 and 88 yards while throwing for another 179 and 190. He has a really tough matchup against Dallas this week but he is near min price for a QB.

SAM EHLINGER - ONLY $4,000 ON DK!!!

You can build a stud lineup using a "Punt QB" and I don't mind using him alone due to his rushing "upside". His Junior year he ran for 663 yards in 13 games averaging 4.1 yards per carry. His raw Roto projection is 215 passing yards and 1.1 touchdowns with 20 rushing yards and his raw PFF projection is 220 passing yards with 1.3 touchdowns and 28 yards rushing. If he can climb to ONLY 16 DKP that is 4x value on a min priced guy.
