J.T. POSTON – TOP 20 (+160) (DK 9200)
JT Poston missed 5 of 7 cuts before finishing 2nd, 41st, 6th and 6th in his last 4 events. 12 of his last 16 rounds have been in the 60’s so he is shooting well right now. He also ranks 4th in P4 scoring and even though his approach game is lacking at 71st he makes up for hit ranking 9th in SG: Putting. POSTON could go TOP 10 but taking a TOP 20 at plus money. In my custom model he ranks 5th overall.
AARON RAI – TOP 20 (+200) (DK 8600)
Aaron Rai comes in 18th in my custom model and he also popped for me when I was doing my research. After missing 4/5 cuts he has turned around making 4 of the last 5 with finishes of 20th, 9th, 24th and 3rd. He has been in the 60’s in 16 of his last 18 rounds. He also ranks 5th in P4 scoring, 1st in P5 scoring, 2nd in SG: Approach from 150-175, 7th in SG: Approach and slides to 72nd in SG: Putting. Rai is my guy to double my money for a TOP 20 finish this week.
LUCAS GLOVER – TOP 20 (+300) (DK 7500)
Glover ranked on top of my custom model this week but I don’t like that he is coming off a missed cut at the 3M open. Prior to his MC last week he has finished 6th, 4th, Cut and 20th in the prior 4 events. With 9 of his last 10 rounds in the 60’s we have to take a shot with him this week. He got off to a bad start shooting a 71 but followed it up with a 68 but wasn’t able to squeak through. At the John Deere he shot 69-65-66-68 and the prior week at the Rocket Mortgage he shot 69-69-64-65.
DOUG GHIM – TOP 30 (+175) (DK 7200)
Doug Ghim didn’t show up in the TOP 20 on my custom model but he has been playing great. He has finished 27th, Cut, 26th, 33rd, 15th, 12th, 19th and 27th respectively making 7 of the last 8 cuts. He also ranks 24th in P4 scoring over the last 24 rounds and this course is filled with the P4: 400-450 holes that he should feast on. The key approach range is 150-175 yards where he ranks 9th over the L24 rounds. His only downfall is that he falls to 71st in SG: Putting but TOP 30 isn’t a hard task with this field!
DENNY MCCARTHY – TOP 20 (+150)
I am not a big McCarthy guy but he came in 2nd on my custom model so I had to include him in this breakdown. In his last 5 events he has a missed cut, 6th, 7th, 20th and 2nd place while he has the ability to go low shooting rounds of 60-64 he also has blowout ability as we saw at The Open where he shot a 76 and 78 but it was a really hard course. This week he will have a much easier task and I like the (+150) odds.
DRAFTKINGS: If you are playing on DK I like the same players above to start off your lineup! I can't give you my full lineup but use 3-4 of these 5 players.
